This year on-site visits and traveling are possible. ISAS and Yellow Window, Gender-SMART project technical partners, visited CIHEAM Bari between 10 to 12 May for an on-site visit to collect data for the final monitoring and evaluation exercise.
The aim of this visit was to exchange and reflect with a range of institutional players on gender equality actions at the organisation over the past four years. At the same time, our technical partners collected input on GEP implementation and Impact Driver institutionalisation with the core team of CIHEAM Bari while they witnessed the gender equality activities “in action” in the institutional settings embodied in the material culture of the institution.
During these three days, several activities took place, including:
- Two focus groups of CIHEAM Bari’s stakeholders to explore the awareness of the project and GE developments at the organisation
- A seminar for MSc students on Gender Bias
- An online training session with Ph.D. and post-Doc students on Gender in Research
- The International hybrid event ‘Gender Equality in Research and Academia: Showing the Way’ to raise awareness and promote Gender Equality in Academia in Italy and beyond.
Participation was significant and huge appreciation was expressed by attendees in person and remotely.
