FEMME FEST Cyprus is the 1st Festival for the Promotion of Gender Equality & Diversity in Cyprus which aims to cultivate gender equality in our country, through the promotion and of gender issues, women presence and activities. The Festival is going to be held in Nicosia on the 29th of May for the first time. Through various activities and panel discussions, urgent topics related to equality, inclusion and diversity will be discussed with experts and policymakers.
One of the Panel Discussions organized is focused on the underrepresentation of women in STEAM fields named “Breaking gender stereotypes in STEAM academy and research”. Members of the Consortium of Gender-SMART will join the Festival and the Program Manager of Gender-SMART at Cyprus University of Technology will join the event as one of the Panelists and co-founder of Girls in STEAM Academy Cyprus. Gender-SMART will be also presented as one of the good practices in Cyprus when it comes to institutional change at university level.
